On December 9, the Embassy of Ukraine in the USA highlighted our country at the 4th annual Winternational celebration in the Ronald Reagan Building / International Trade Center, Washington, D.C. The event was open for free public access.
Thousands of Winternational’s guests visited Ukrainian Embassy’s display. They had chance to learn more about our country: the current situation in the context of opposing Russian aggression, including human rights’ infringements in occupied Ukrainian Crimea (a peninsular on the south of Ukraine) and Donbass (eastern regions of Ukraine) as well as violations against Ukrainian political prisoners held in custody by Russian authorities; work done by Ukraine to overcome negative economic effects of Russian aggression, Ukraine’s achievements in stabilizing economy and improving investment climate; Ukrainian companies operating on the USA market; attractive destinations for tourism in Ukraine and Ukraine’s rich cultural heritage, in particular its national crafts and traditions; awesome facts about Ukraine, including famous all over the world scientific and technological inventions made by Ukrainians.
Minister-Counselor of the Embassy of Ukraine, Head of Economic and Trade Office Vitalii Tarasiuk officially welcomed Winternational’s guests along with senior diplomats from other 33 embassies-participants of the festival and event’s organizers from the International Trade Center, Washington, DC (one of 330 international trade centers all over the world).
