Chargé d'affaires of Ukraine in the U.S. Yaroslav Brisiuck took part in the Helsinki Commission briefing at the U.S. Congress: “Human Rights Violations in Russian-Occupied Crimea”.
He emphasized that there is nothing more important for the Ukrainian Government, civil society, NGOs, for all Ukrainians, than stopping Russia’s ongoing aggression, the illegal occupation of Crimea and Russia’s continued flagrant violations of human rights. He also urged the U.S. to ratchet up sanctions, which must remain in place until Ukraine’s territorial integrity is fully restored.
