On October 7th, 2010, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Unites States met with the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Science, Space & Health Lawrence Gumbiner.

The discussion was devoted to the issues of cooperation development between Ukraine and the United States in the fields of science, education and advanced technologies. In particular Sides exchanged views on preparations for the inaugural meeting of the Working Group on Science and Technology, founded in the framework of Ukrainian-American Strategic Partnership Commission, scheduled for the first week of November in Kyiv.

Participants highly praised the current state of cooperation between Ukraine and the United States in science and technology, and expressed hope for its further successful mutually beneficial development.
