Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine Olexander Motsyk met with the members of “The Potomac Exchange”, the NGO that provides the foreign Ambassadors in the USA and a core group of executives from business and the academic community with the forum to exchange ideas and lay the groundwork for future business and personal relationships.
This time among the participants of the meeting there were representatives of “The General Electric Company”, “Eastman Kodak”, “Bechtel”, “The Bank of America”, “Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation”, “Oracle”, “Mitsubishi” and others.
In his opening remarks Ambassador Motsyk provided the audience with the information about the measures undertaken by Ukrainian Government in promoting economic reforms and improving of the investment climate in our country. Ambassador also outlined the Ukraine’s foreign policy priorities pointing out that integration into the European Union remains the strategic goal of our country along with the development of economic cooperation and strategic partnership with the United States and Russian Federation. Ukrainian Ambassador particularly stressed that one of the most important spheres of Ukrainian-American bilateral cooperation is economy and business. The welcoming remarks were continued with open discussion with the audience keen to stay current of the political, economic and investment environment in Ukraine.
The Potomac Exchange was founded in 1987. The majority of the Potomac Exchange members represent large global enterprises. Over the years, Potomac Exchange members have welcomed hundreds of Ambassadors from around the world.
