On September 29th, 2010, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Unites States met with U.S. Chairs of “Ukraine 2020” Initiative which supports Ukraine’s European Integration.

Among the participants there were President of the U.S.-Ukraine Foundation Nadia McConnell, Vice-president of the National Endowment for Democracy Nadia Diuk, former U.S. Ambassadors to Ukraine Steven Pifer and William Taylor, former Ambassador to Lithuania Keith Smith, as well as Mr. David Rigsby of Umbra, LLC, representing Ambassador Roman Popadiuk.

Ambassador Motsyk expressed his appreciation to the U.S.-Ukraine Foundation and its President Nadia McConnell for a long-standing support of Ukraine’s development. He also stressed that the Ukrainian Government is firmly committed to strengthening democracy in Ukraine and building a truly democratic European state.

The participants discussed future projects of the new initiative “Ukraine-2020” in the spheres of foreign policy and national security, business and economics, energy, democracy and governance, education and culture, and information and media.
