During his visit to the city of Parma, the Ambassador of Ukraine to the U.S. Valeriy Chaly met with Ukrainian Community leaders and American-Nationalities leaders, Ukrainian clergy, and the Cleveland Self-reliance Credit Union Board members.
Also taking part in the meeting were U.S. Senator and Co-Chair of the Senate Ukraine Caucus Rob Portman, Parma Mayor Tim DeGeeter, leaders and representatives of local Eastern European communities, such as Polish and Lithuanian.
The meeting was attended by Ukrainian ATO fighter Serhiy Babskyi, who is currently undergoing rehabilitation in a medical facility of Cleveland.
In his remarks to the gathering, the Ambassador of Ukraine thanked the Ukrainian Community activists for the implementation of a number of practical initiatives to support Ukraine, including realization of humanitarian programs of assistance to the Ukrainian army, organization of rehabilitation of Ukrainian military servicemen who were wounded while protecting their Motherland from Russian aggression.
The meeting participants took part in a flesh-mob calling to free Nadiya Savchenko.
