Ambassador Valeriy Chaly in State of Minnesota opened the U.S.-Ukraine Trade and Investment Forum: Agricultural Machinery and Grain & Oilseed Processing Technology organized by the Embassy of Ukraine in the USA in cooperation with Minnesota Trade Office.
In his speech, the Ambassador highlighted the potential of Ukrainian agrarian sector and the prospects of intensifying US-Ukraine cooperation in this field. Valeriy Chaly stressed that given the rising world demand for agro products as well as concerns over global food security, investments in Ukraine’s agro sector had become even more promising. Ambassador Chaly reiterated that despite leading position of our country on the global food markets the potential of Ukrainian agrarian sector was not yet consumed. Nowadays Ukraine’s agricultural sector operates at only 50% of its capacity, that opens remarkable perspectives for foreign investments in this rising industry.
According to the Ambassador, existing level of bilateral relations with the United States creates solid platform for further economic development of Ukraine’s economy, stable and predictable business environment in our country with sufficient level of foreign investor’s interests’ protection. Ukraine continues its way of comprehensive economic reforms and further deregulation that in combination with security level make our country an extremely attractive destination for foreign investments.
Addressing American investors, the Ambassador underlined that the best time to come to Ukraine is now!
