They discussed priorities of support of Ukraine by the United States’ Congress in the context of the ongoing work on the U.S. FY 2018 budget as well as a number of other matters, including the importance of putting in place an enhanced sanctions legislation on Russia.

Ambassador Chaly thanked Senator Feinstein for her steadfast support of Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression asking her to support, in her capacity as a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, the legislative initiatives aimed at further the U.S. assistance to Ukraine - in areas of defense and security in particular.

The Senator has assured the Ambassador that she will continue to support Ukraine.
