On November 10, 2011, a presentation entitled “Ukraine: Investment opportunities”, organized by The State Agency for Investment and National Projects of Ukraine in association with The Embassy of Ukraine to the U.S. and the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council, took place in Washington D.C.

Head of The State Agency for Investment and National Projects of Ukraine Mr. Vladyslav Kaskiv presented the investment national projects as follows: Clean City, New Life, Olympic Hope – 2022, LNG Terminal, Energy of Nature, and Open World. The presentation in Washington D.C., which concluded the U.S. part of the worldwide road show, generated a significant interest of the U.S. business entities. The above event gathered more than 70 representatives of international financial organizations, U.S. state agencies and private companies including The World Bank, The International Financial Corporation, Department of State, Department of Trade, The Trade and Development Agency, The U.S. Export-Import Bank, Exxon Mobil, Global Trade Development, First International Resources, and SALTUS Corporation. U.S. investors had been provided with an opportunity to see a significant potential of the presented projects and considerable investment cooperation capabilities with Ukraine in general.

In his welcoming remarks, Ambassador of Ukraine to the U.S. Mr. Oleksandr Motsyk emphasized that experience, present-day technologies and financial opportunities possessed by U.S. companies coupled with significant natural resources of our country, high level of education of the Ukrainians, especially in the field of engineering, and highly-qualified workforce, provide for a win-win environment by means of establishing a state-private partnership. The Ambassador of Ukraine called upon U.S. companies to invest in the presented national projects and assured the audience in extensive support the Embassy is ready to render to ensure practical implementation of the U.S. business initiatives.
