On November 30, 2012, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine K.Gryshchenko met with First Deputy Secretary of State William Burns in Washington DC.
W.Burns stressed that the United States is interested in strengthening the strategic partnership with Ukraine, wherein development depends on further steps of our state to ensure high standards of democracy, rule of law and free market economy.
The sides discussed important issues of cooperation between the two states on the international arena, specific issues of cooperation in the field of non-proliferation, arms control, trade, investment and energy.
Foreign Minister elaborated on the priorities of Ukraine’s chairmanship in the OSCE in 2013 and expressed readiness to cooperate with the U.S. in order to implement those priorities.
