Photo Еxhibition “Colors of Ukraine” by Andriy Portyanko

On January 24, 2013, the Embassy of Ukraine to the US hosted a presentation of photo collection «Colors of Ukraine» by Ukrainian-American photographer Andriy Portyanko. The event was organized by the Ukrainian Culture and Information Centre in cooperation with Mayor’s Office of the BaltimoreCity.
The exhibition is a collection of the best shots of Ukrainian Festivals in BaltimoreCity since 2006. The author was fascinated and inspired by richness of preserving Ukrainian culture and traditions in Ukrainian community of USA. There is happiness, there is sadness, there is passion, and there are colors, many attributes of deeply rooted Ukrainian culture shaped through the centuries.
During the program guests of the Ukrainian Embassy could also enjoy musical performances by Keiko Kurbanov and Asako Sokabe (Koto-instrument), Katria Kuzmowycz (flute) and Solomia Gorokhivska (violin).
